MONTEREY, MA — August 2026 — Gallerie 271 is pleased to share its feature in the August 2026 edition of Monterey News, highlighting the gallery’s summer exhibition season and the artists bringing new work to Route 23 in Monterey.
In the feature, Gallerie 271 begins by thanking the community for turning out for Adi Oren’s exhibition, “The Places We’ll Go,” and celebrating the collectors who gave new homes to Oren’s paintings.
The article then looks ahead to “Hurry Up and Wait,” an exhibition by local photographer Michael Grohman, on view July 31 through August 8, 2026, with an artist reception on Saturday, August 1, from 4 to 6 PM. Grohman’s photographs explore the contrast between our impulse to travel and move and the quieter moments of solitude and stillness that restore us.
Closing out the summer season is local artist, musician, and architect Steve Dietemann with “A Walk in the Woods,” on view August 21 through September 5, 2026. The exhibition brings together paintings, watercolors, and sculptures inspired by the Berkshire landscape, including quiet off-trail places, hidden streams, and vernal ponds. An artist reception with live music is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, from 4 to 6 PM.
The Monterey News feature also calls attention to Gallerie 271’s presence beyond regular gallery hours, including Vitro Muralis (Glass Wall), a granite-and-glass sculpture at the Monterey corner, and Stampede 1–5, on permanent exhibition.
Gallerie 271 is grateful to Monterey News for sharing the gallery’s summer programming and to the community for its continued support. From exhibitions and artist receptions to public artwork visible from Route 23, the gallery continues its mission of connecting artists, collectors, residents, and visitors in the Berkshires.
Gallerie 271 is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 AM to 5 PM at 271 Main Road in Monterey, Massachusetts.
