Jaye Alison

Jaye Alison is an artist-interpreter of her external surroundings, inner personal landscapes, worldly issues, environmental, and political concerns.

She responds to whatever is most pressing to her. She uses varied media to create her work, relying upon her skills and talents in a wide variety of expressive forms.

Alison’s work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, has appeared in print, film, television, the web and Off Off Broadway. Alison’s work is included in private and Museum collections, including the Mark Rothko Museum (Latvia), Five Point Center for Visual Arts, National Archives, Library of Congress Permanent Collection.

Curator Jay Belloli said of “The Narratives”, one body of her work: “If Matisse had lived in South Los Angeles, his work might have looked like this!”

Alison has an MFA from Transart Institute/Plymouth University and a BA from UCLA, Paier College Art.
