Peter Charlap

Charlap lives and works in the Hudson Valley. He attended the University of Pennsylvania (BFA) and the Yale School of Art. He was on the faculty of Vassar College from 1979 – 2022 and is currently Emeritus Associate Professor. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of American Art and the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center. Peter also has received various awards including the 2021 American Academy of Arts and Letters Childe Hassam Purchase Award
