Matter And Desire

I am inspired by the small moments of connection and revelation, the synchronicities that surface as a sliver of light. Through my paintings, I explore what it means to be enraptured by existence, highlighting our desire to see, feel, and become. I present figures in various positions such as dancing, flying, or stationary in deep thought, whilst creating a conversation between the figures and the internal/exterior landscapes.

My work is an investigation of the abstract qualities of our emotions, an interplay between color, texture, and figurative gesture. I investigate themes of transformation, fluidity, and freedom while striving to inspire a sense of empathy and introspection, inviting viewers to engage with their own journey of self-discovery. I paint to uncover and create histories that celebrate a sense of being.
